1 (?)
Wright
Pilot: Haine
#1 wasn't mentioned in the programs. A list in a
newspaper mentioned an Englishman by the name of Haine.
If he actually existed he didn't take part. The
name was painted on one of the Wright hangars, though.
2
Wright
Pilot: Nicolas Popoff
(Николай
Попов)
Engine: 30 hp Barriquand & Marre I-4
A standard Wright without wheels. A bad photo, but the
Wrights didn't do much flying at the Cannes
meeting, so they are mostly seen in the background of
photos. (1)
3
Wright
Pilot: Marcel Baratoux
Engine: 30 hp Barriquand & Marre I-4

Wright
Pilot: Paul Bablot
Engine: 30 hp Barriquand & Marre I-4
#4 wasn't mentioned in the programs, only in a list
in a newspaper. Bablot was a mechanic on the Wright
planes and there are no reports that he did fly.
5
Farman
Pilot: Joseph Christiaens
Engine: 50 hp Gnôme 7 cyl.
A lightened "racing" Farman with shorter tail
and small lower wings. (3)
6
Wright
Pilot: Vincent (Vinzenz) Wiesenbach
Engine: 30 hp Barriquand & Marre I-4
This was stated to be the most modern of the Wrights at
the meeting, with both wheels and rear horizontal
stabilizer. German-language sources often spell his
first name "Vinzenz". (4)
7
Curtiss
Pilot: Frederick van Riemsdijk
Engine: 25 hp Curtiss I-4
(5)
8
Blériot XI
Pilot: Léon Molon
Engine: 25 hp Anzani 3 cyl.
Molon brought two planes to the meeting, which was
fortunate in view of his several accidents and
incidents. Note the unique vertical "keel"
surface below the front fuselage. (6)
9
Wright
Pilot: Louis Gaubert
Engine: 30 hp Barriquand & Marre I-4
This photo was taken at Vichy after the meeting, but
the plane still carried the Cannes race number. (7)
