The 1-7 May 1910 "1a Grande Settimana d'Aviazione" of Palermo is not very well-known, and I don't think anything has been written about in English before, except a couple of short reports in 1910 magazines. This is perhaps not so strange: The meeting was a bit of a fiasco, with flights taking place on only two days of the week. During the other five days strong winds wreaked havoc over the airfield and destroyed a couple of hangars and airplanes. The meeting, which wasn't sanctioned by the FAI, ended up a financial disaster and several flyers did not get paid. Anyway, you are welcome to read about it here!
