Re: Bar-le-Duc 1910 airmeeting

I don't have much on that meeting, but here's what "La Revue Aérienne" (1910-09-10) wrote: A Bar-le-Duc. Sur l'initiative de M. Chevallier, maire, et de M. Collin, président de la section de Bar-le-Duc de la Ligue Nationale Aérienne, assisté de M. Petit, trésorier, deux journées d'expérien...

The 1910 Scottish International Aviation Meeting

Hi everybody! http://www.thefirstairraces.net/meetings/la1008/images/poster345.jpg It's been almost a year, but here are finally some new pages. The August 1910 Lanark meeting was called the most successful British meeting so far, with the high point being John Armstrong Drexel's world altitude reco...

Re: The 1910 "Semaine d'Aviation de Touraine"

It doesn't happen that often, but once in a while a couple of new photos turn up. You will find two images that I believe haven't been published before on the "Planes" page, and one more on the "Events" page. The pages are here.

New pages: The July-August 1910 Blackpool Flying Carnival!

The Blackpool Flying Carnival was a unique meeting - a national meeting consisting of two six-day competitive events with eleven non-competitive days of exhibition flights inbetween. The biggest names were Claude Grahame-White, Géo Chávez and Bartolomeo Cattaneo. http://www.thefirstairraces.net/meet...

The "Pilots" pages

Since a couple of years ago I've been considering what to do with the "Pilot" pages. There's a lot of pilots, the number has now passed 200, and we have a rather big backlog. To make things worse, the pages should ideally be updated after each new meeting. This would mean spending more tim...

New pages: The July-August 1910 Caen meeting!

The Caen meeting was not one of the richest and biggest of 1910, but still attracted famous pilots Léon Morane, Émile Aubrun, Marcel Hanriot, Robert Martinet and a handful of others, while Antoinette pilot René Labouchère dropped out at the last moment. It was the first meeting where more than a cou...

New pages: The July-August 1910 Brussels/Stockel meeting!

The first Belgian aviation meeting of 1910 was one of the events organised on the fringes of the 1910 World Exposition. It was held over two weeks at a racecourse in Stockel, southwest of Brussels. http://www.thefirstairraces.net/meetings/st1007/images/poster345.jpg A field of ten Belgian pilots con...

Re: Research info about HF II with number 11

Hi Anthony, and welcome to the forum!

A nice photo, thanks for posting! It looks very much like the machine that Russian pilot Michel Efimoff flew during the first days of the April 1910 Nice meeting - see this page! Later during the meeting it was repainted with a larger race number.
