For the highest load carried, including the weight of the pilot. Additional weight had to be ballast in the form of sandbags, passengers were not allowed. (Minimum 140 kg, minimum flight time 5 minutes). All parts of the airplanes had to be built in Germany. Pilots who had won more than 5,000 Mark in previous contests were not eligible.
